The Canadian songstress, 57, who clinched Eurovision victory for Switzerland back in 1988 with 'Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi', has become one of the world's best-selling artists since her win.
Battling a severe condition known as "stiff person syndrome", Dion has been away from the spotlight for some time but made a poignant return last summer at the Paris Olympics with a performance of Edith Piaf's 'Hymne A L'Amour' at the Eiffel Tower.
During tonight's (May 13) first Eurovision 2025 semi-final, viewers were stunned when Celine appeared in a pre-recorded video message, expressing her enduring affection for Switzerland, reports the Express.
As her message began, the audience erupted in cheers upon hearing her say: "I'd love nothing more than to be with you."

Celine also reflected on her Eurovision triumph as "a lifechanging moment" and described the contest's return to Switzerland as "beautiful and emotional".
Viewers were quick to take to social media, previously known as Twitter, to express their reactions to the emotional moment. One viewer posted: "QUEEN CELINE IM CRYING #Eurovision." (sic)
Another shared: "She said "Bisou", I love you Céline #Eurovision #Eurovision2025." A third commented: "OMG that's so beautiful right now." (sic)
An emotional fan remarked: "That's beautiful, stop it right now. Definitely stuff for the final."

The first Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final aired tonight at 8pm and the second will air on Thursday at the same time on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final 2025 will be broadcast from 8pm to 12am this Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
