Che and co-anchor Colin Jost swap jokes in the season 50 finale, which Johansson hosts
Saturday Night Liveâs had their traditional joke swap in the season 50 season finale, with co-anchor Michael Che making amends with SNL host Scarlett Johansson for delivering a certain line about her during last Decemberâs joke swap.
âI want to take this opportunity to apologize to someone I hurt. Scarlett, can you come out here?â Che said midway through the joke swap, meaning his words were Colin Jostâs.
After explaining the contextâ âI made Colin do some tasteless jokes comparing your vagina to Costco roast beefââChe said he was just âlashing out.â
âBecause Iâm jealous,â he said. âIâve never even seen a human vagina. And notice I said human, because I once spent the summer on a farm. You feel me? Maybe Iâm just embarrassed about my own body. I canât even take my hoodie off during sex because I have more nipples than a pregnant dog.â
Johansson, Jostâs wife, reacted: âYes, I have heard that about you.â
Che then said he was sorry to Jost as well.
âI owe you everything,â he said. âWhen Colin discovered me, I was selling crack outside the Bronx Zoo. Now look at me: selling crack outside the American Girl store. Iâve told thousands of jokes on Update and gotten dozens of laughs, but Iâve never said the three most important words of all: âI love you.'â
The joke swapâonce againâhad plenty of race-oriented lines designed to embarrass Jost.
âCBS has premiered the first hour-long daytime soap opera with a predominantly Black cast. It will air when Black people are home from work: 24 hours a day,â Jost joked.
âA new study finds that the hoots and grunts of bonobos show signs of complex thoughts similar to human language,â he said moments later. âOh, so like that awful halftime show?â
