Aimee Lou Wood Reacts To Patrick Schwarzenegger 'Nepo Baby' Comments
The pair shared the screen in the third season of The White Lotus, before walking the red carpet together at this year's Met Gala.
Aimee Lou Wood has jumped to the defence of her White Lotus co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger amid the ongoing conversation about nepotism in Hollywood.
On Sunday, the Bafta winner reacted to a clip of Patrick from an interview with the podcast Real Pod earlier this year, in which he discussed the ânepo babyâ label that has been used against him in the past due to the fact his parents are action star Arnold Schwarzenegger and the journalist Maria Shriver.

In the video â reposted by Page Six â Patrick could be heard lamenting: â[Thereâll be] people that are like âoh, he only got the role because his dadâs in the industryâ. Thereâll be other people thatâll say, âwell, I wonder what his dad paid to get him that job?â.
âWhat am I going to do? Convince all those people that thatâs not true? Itâs just such a waste of my energy.â
He continued: âIâm never, ever going to convince everybody out there that I work hard, that I have my own values in life, that I want to make my own name for myself â that I donât do drugs, that Iâm not a screw-up, that Iâm not a bad, mean person, that Iâm not all these different things.

Aimee â who struck up a friendship with Patrick while working together on The White Lotus â reposted the clip on Monday, describing her colleague as the âhardest-workingâ and âkindest man everâ.

Following this, the pair walked the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala together, with Patrick offering to arrive at the event with her to help ease her nerves, as heâd already been twice before.

âPatrick, thank god, was like, âIâm going⌠shall we go together in the car?â, and I was like, âyes please!â,â she recalled to E! News. âSo we came in the car together, and thatâs made everything a lot less scary.

âI always say that I think he was my dad in a past life, because I just immediately feel so safe with him. Heâs the safest, kindest person, heâs so solid, you just canât feel nervous or scared when Patrickâs around. Heâs just, honestly, the most pure person, I canât describe it.â
Patrick also told Variety: âI heard Aimee was coming and I immediately texted her and I said, âcan we please go together? Iâm so nervousâ. And she was like, âI was going to text you the same thingâ. I was like, âperfectâ.

âSo, we met up, I went to her hotel, and we showed up together. Itâs great. It takes the nerves out of it that you have a real friend to come with.â
