At the last minute, Alice In Chains have cancelled a show due to a "medical emergency" involving their drummer Sean Kinney who has yet to comment

Alice In Chains cancelled a show in ConnecticutĀ on May 8th due to a āmedical emergencyā involving the bandās drummer, Sean Kinney.
The rock outfit had been scheduled to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, but shortly before they were set to take to the stage, Alice In Chains shared a statement online informing ticket holders that the show would no longer be going ahead.
They explained in a statement: āAfter our soundcheck this evening at the Mohegan Sun Arena, Sean experienced a non-life-threatening medical emergency.ā
Alice in Chains continued: āWe unfortunately have to cancel tonightās show. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.ā
At this stage, Kinney has yet to speak directly about his health issue and the band have also not released a further statement clarifying the situation.
As of writing, Alice In Chains are still scheduled to perform in New Jersey and Ohio on May 10th and May 11th, respectively, with no indication that these concerts will be cancelled. They also have upcoming visits to Nashville, Dothan, Daytona Beach, and Ocean City on their current run of shows, which concludes on May 17th.
Additionally, Alice In Chains will be performing this summer at Villa Park in Birmingham for Ozzy Osbourneās farewell concert with Black Sabbath.
The star-studded line-up also includes Metallica, Guns Nā Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Anthrax, Mastodon, Tool as well as members of Judas Priest, Limp Bizkit, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megadeth, Van Halen, Ghost, and Faith No More.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Osbourne explained what the show will entail: āWeāre only playing a couple of songs each. I donāt want people thinking, āWeāre getting ripped off,ā because itās just going to be ⦠whatās the word? ⦠a sample, youāre going to get a few songs each by Ozzy and Sabbath.ā
