Amanda Holden & Alan Carr hint at show shake-up as they plan to 'argue with BBC'
Amanda Holden and Alan Carr will be heading to Corfu in Greece for the fourth series of their home renovation show on the BBC, but the pair hinted about a possible change
Amanda Holden joked she would have to âargue with the BBCâ as she hints at a possible shake-up of her home renovation show with Alan Carr.
The pair have been snapping up properties abroad and then transforming them to sell on. The first series saw them snapping up a two-bedroom property in Tuscany for just a Euro (85p).
â
Known as âCasa Alamandaâ, it sold for around ÂŁ187,777. The second series of the show saw the best friends turning their attention to Spain, purchasing a property in the historic village of MoclĂn in Granada, Spain.
â
Having once again purchased the property for just 85p, the property has now been sold for an undisclosed amount to a purchaser from Wales. It was listed on Rightmove for approximately ÂŁ210,000.
The third series will see Alan and Amanda heading off to Corfu, renovating a new property and learning about a new culture. But Amanda, 54, hinted at a possible shake-up for the show.

On Alanâs Life a Beach podcast, she said: âI think it should be my Big Fat Greek Renovation, first of all.â
Alan agreed, suggesting he was unhappy with the showâs title. He said: âI donât like the Greek Job. Itâs just job, it sounds cr**.â
Amanda however concluded the pair would have to air their concerns with bosses at the BBC. She concluded: âItâs not good. I think we should argue with the BBC about that.â
â
Comedian Alan says Greece was an ideal destination for the latest series because it is his âgo toâ holiday destination. Speaking to the BBC, he said: âGreece is always my âGo Toâ place for holiday fun, so it will be strange for me to be packing a hard hat, drill and paint roller in my suitcase instead of my usual suntan lotion and budgie smugglers.
âAfter the success of Sicily, Tuscany and Andalusia I think Greece is the perfect next step for some Alamanda magic, with its rich history and culture and letâs not forget the delicious food and drink, it feels like it's already gearing up to be an unforgettable summer.â
