Celebrity chef Anne Burrell had no shortage of loved ones mourning her death at age 55.
The Food Network personality is survived by her husband, Stuart Claxton, stepson Javier, her mother, Marlene, and her sister, Jane.
âAnne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend â her smile lit up every room she entered,â her family said in a June 2025 statement to Us Weekly. âAnneâs light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.â

Anne Burrell Was Married to Stuart ClaxtonBurrell married Claxton in October 2021 in her hometown of Cazenovia, New York. Celebrity chef Rachael Ray served as one of the bridesmaids at the wedding.
âEverything was magical,â Burrell said during a subsequent appearance on The Rachael Ray Show. âI was like, âI want the fairy tale! Iâm only going to be a bride once!ââ
âWe wrote our own vows, which I thought were very cute and lovely, and then when it came to the time when they said I had to say, âI do,â it just came out of me like, âYES I DO!'â she continued.

âI have to say, I love being married. Weâre together all the time because Stuart works from home. Itâs the being together all the time, but itâs also the adventure together,â Burrell told People in April 2023.
Claxton agreed, saying marriage was âwonderfulâ and he was enjoying wedded bliss.
âAnne and I hadnât lived together before we moved in and got married, so itâs been a whole adventure, but very lovely at the same time,â he told the outlet.
Claxton works in marketing and communication.

âI love to go to Mets games. Baseball always feels historical to me and I truly love history,â she told Broken Plate in July 2024. âI love to watch a few innings and then stop and get a chicken parm. And itâs a family affair. My stepson is home from college for the summer and heâs working at the stand. Heâs slinging chicken parm and heâs having a great time doing it. Heâs meeting cool people and making a few dollars.â
