Nicola Peltz has broken her silence on social media amid reports of a family rift after she and husband Brooklyn Beckham failed to attend his father David's 50th birthday celebration

Nicola Peltz shared an emotional homage to her late grandmothers, who she was reminded of during a yearly sports event.

The 30 year old star, known for her roles in acting and filmmaking, is the offspring of billionaire tycoon Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner, with her grandmothers being Bunny and Gina.

The actress cherished a close bond with her grandmothers, with Bunny having the special role of maid of honour at Nicola's marriage to Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022.

She was deeply affected by their loss, with Bunny passing in May 2024 at 95 years old, and Gina in January 2020, coinciding with Nicola's birthday.

On Saturday, Nicola took to Instagram to post a collection of photos showing her beaming and chuckling with both women.

Accompanying the images, she wrote a touching note, expressing that they remain dear to her.

The star of "Transformers: Age of Extinction" said: "In life we have core memories and this is one of my most favourite days I've ever lived. They were my best friends, there wasn't a day I wasn't with them."

She added: "To my Naunni and my Gina I can't fathom the thought of not being able to hug you or hear your laugh right now - I just miss you both so much. The farther I get from the day you left Earth scares me because I feel like I get farther from you.", reports the Mirror.

Nicola has opened up in an emotional post remembering a beloved mmetup, saying: "I remember this day so clearly, I got us all matching Dior fancy sneakers and I was so proud to match you both this whole summer."

She then reflected on why she was thinking of the two women, explaining: "The Kentucky Derby is today and I will never forget watching it on tv with you both every year. I love you both more than anything and think of you every second."

Continuing her heartfelt recollections, Nicola added: "I hope you're together right now looking after me and I hope I see you soon. To my forever soulmates I more than love you because the word love doesn't touch how you have made me feel growing up."

Expanding on the depth of her emotions, she said: "I felt more than loved and that is what I feel for you both, more than love."

Nicola's sentimental message comes amidst speculations of escalating tension between her and husband Brooklyn, and his family, the Beckhams. As football legend David Beckham celebrates his 50th birthday with a series of bashes, including a party at his Cotswolds home followed by celebrations in France and an A-List gathering in a top London restaurant last Saturday, the young couple has been notably absent.

Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend any of the festivities nor did they share online tributes to David, which is claimed to have deeply saddened the soccer superstar.

Over the weekend, a source disclosed to The Sun: "David is heartbroken but putting a brave face on it.... Brooklyn actually informed his parents a while ago that he and his wife, Nicola, would not be attending but, of course, David and Victoria desperately hoped he would change his mind.

"It's a dagger to the heart that he hasn't attended a single one of David's 50th celebrations - and hurts the whole family including the grandparents and siblings."

Amidst longstanding whispers of a feud between Nicola and her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham - which both have tried to dispel by showing mutual support online and at fashion events - a fresh cause for family tension has recently surfaced. Reports suggest that Brooklyn has had a falling out with his younger brother Romeo over his choice of girlfriend.

On Saturday night, Romeo, aged 22, and his partner Kim Turnbull, 24, were seen arriving in the same vehicle as Cruz Beckham, 20, and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29. The two couples appeared cheerful as they turned up in their chic evening attire ready to celebrate.
