Cardi B isn’t going to let Offset go after her money without saying anything. The rapper is notoriously outspoken and has absolutely no problem speaking her mind. In fact, she’s so open that it should come as no surprise that she took to social media to take her soon-to-be-ex, Offset, to task for requesting spousal support. In a scathing social media moment, Cardi B outlined all of the bills she covers for the three kids she shares with the former Migos member, noting that he’s asking for spousal support while contributing nothing to the upkeep of their three children.
Offset’s attempt to collect spousal support from his soon-to-be-ex really doesn’t sit right with her. The mother of three took to X (formerly Twitter) to outline all of the bills her estranged husband left her to handle. According to Cardi, the father of her three children has not contributed financially to their expenses in the year they’ve been apart and has only spent a handful of days with their youngest child. Blossom, eight months old, was born after they decided to split.
In her tirade, Cardi B said she pays for the children’s personal driver, private education, after-school activities, tutoring, and their security all on her own. She also employs a private chef and multiple nannies to keep the house running smoothly. Tuition for the two oldest children runs $80,000 per year, while their driver receives $10,000 per month. Nannies and after-school activities total over six figures as well, according to Cardi B’s calculations. She didn’t reveal the monthly cost of the chef or security, but it can’t be cheap.
As she unloaded, she wound down by directly speaking to her ex, whose legal name is Kiari Cephus, shaming him for seeking spousal support. She said, “Kiari, have I asked you for anything? You want spousal support so bad.”
Cardi B and Offset have both done well for themselves. Both musical artists have performed around the world and achieved considerable success. They’ve both made plenty of money, and Offset is unlikely to be financially wounded by his split. Still, his decision to seek spousal support is directly related to the difference in the former flames’ net worths.
Cardi B is significantly richer than her former partner, which has led to their current disagreement. According to Vibe, she is worth a staggering $100 million. Offset’s music career has led to a net worth of around $40 million, which, while not insignificant, is significantly lower than hers.
Neither Offset nor Cardi B has mentioned it, but insiders also believe Cardi’s decision to move on with Stefon Diggs may have further motivated Offset to file for alimony. The divorce is not yet finalized. There is likely more drama to come.
