Amber Heard has expanded her family by welcoming twins, and her exciting announcement offered a rare look into her personal life despite her efforts to keep her dating life out of the public eye in the years since her split from ex-husband Johnny Depp.

On Mother’s Day 2025, Heard announced that she welcomed twins. “This year, I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years,” the actress wrote on Instagram. “Today, I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang.”

She then revealed that her new kids are a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean. They’ll be the younger siblings to Heard’s eldest daughter, 4-year-old Oonagh Paige.

“I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy,” she wrote. “Well, now I am bursting times three!!! Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms, despite my own fertility challenges, has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully.”

Heard welcomed Oonagh as a single parent back in 2021, but what do we know about Heard’s dating life now?

Amber Heard is reportedly single. In addition to not including any mention of a partner in her post, representatives for the actress also didn’t mention a partner in her pregnancy announcement in Dec. 2024. “Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige,” the statement read to People.

Heard has been open about choosing to become a single parent in the past, revealing in a July 2021 Instagram post that she decided she “wanted to have a child” four years prior and “wanted to do it on my own terms.”

“I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” she wrote at the time, while announcing the birth of her daughter. “I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”

Later that month, she described herself as “the mom and the dad” to her young daughter.

Heard last known relationship was with cinematographer Bianca Butti. The pair were romantically linked after they were spotted kissing in Palm Springs in January 2020. The duo was seen together numerous times that year but reportedly split in 2021. The following year, in addition to being spotted together one last time, Butti showed her support for Heard amid her high-profile legal battle with Depp over an essay she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as a survivor of abuse.

“Amber is someone I am grateful to call a friend, and no one who stands up to speak the truth should be treated like this,” Butti wrote on Instagram. “My heart goes out to her during these difficult times. No matter what happens #istandwithamberheard.”

Prior to Butti, Heard was married to Depp from 2015 until 2016, when Heard filed for divorce and accused Depp of physically abusing her during their relationship. Heard later dated Elon Musk for a year, beginning in 2016.
