Downton Abbey and Love Island stars join Netflix's The Gentlemen
Production is confirmed to be well underway on the new season
Netflix have confirmed that Downton Abbey and Love Island stars are set to join the next season of The Gentlemen.
Filming is underway on the second instalment of Guy Ritchie's crime drama for the streamer.

The company has announced that a number of big names will be joining the cast for season two.
That includes Hugh Bonneville, known for his roles in the Paddington films and Downton Abbey.
Also signed up to appear is Love Island host Maya Jama, although details of their roles are not yet known.
A host of new names have also been confirmed such as The Agency's Benjamin Clementine, Dune's Benedetta Porcaroli, The Leopard's Michele Morrone and Sergio Castellito who recently appeared in Another Simple Favour.
They join the likes of Theo James, Daniel Ings, Ray Winstone, Vinnie Jones and Giancarlo Esposito who are all set to reprise their roles. The story is set to pick up one year since Eddie and Susie joined forces to work together in Bobbyâs criminal empire overseas.
As they drive to expand their enterprise, the decisions Bobby is making seem to be increasingly unsound. Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well.
The series is itself a spin-off of director Ritchie's movie of the same name. However, while they set within the same world, they each tell different stories with unique characters.
Commenting on the beginning of production, Ritchie said: "I am delighted to return to set for season two of The Gentlemen. This chapter sees a deliberate expansion, both geographically and thematically, as we journey from the English countryside to the Italian lakes."
He continued: "Eddie and Susie find themselves navigating an increasingly volatile empire as theyâre besieged on all fronts by an influx of enigmatic new players. The stakes are heightened, the power dynamics are more precarious, and Iâm thrilled to be collaborating once again with this exceptional cast and crew.â
No release date for The Gentlemen season two is yet to be confirmed by Maya Jama is set to return to screens very soon. She will host the upcoming series of Love Island after ITV announced the reality series will return on June 9.
The series was well received by Netflix fans, as one sharing their thoughts of it online declared: " Breaking Bad meets Downton Abbey and I'm here for it. The first episode had me hooked, and the quality remains throughout. I'm looking forward to another season."
Another added: " I loved this TV show, binged it in a single day! Theo does an amazing job as the Duke and the TV show has one of the most interesting plots I've seen. Guy Ritchie also delivered a satisfying ending which is also a perfect setup for Season 2!"
The Gentlemen is streaming on Netflix.
