Eurovision 2025 was certainly an emotional rollercoaster for us in the UK as we saw Remember Monday take to the stage with high hopes that we'd finally secure that win.

The trio are the first UK girl band entry since Precious in 1999, and there's no denying that their song What The Hell Just Happened was good enough to win.

‌

After all 26 countries performed, it was time for the jury vote. As well sat watching the results roll in from each country things were looking good for the UK as we remained on the left side of the board and made it into the top ten.

‌

Hopes were high going into the public vote, but unfortunately we plummeted to 19th overall after receiving a grand total of zero points from the public vote.

It was Austrian singer JJ who won with their song Wasted Love, narrowly beating Israel following the public vote.

This means that the song contest will be held in Austria next year, for the first time since 2015 when Conchita Wurst won the show the year prior with her song Rise Like a Phoenix.

Speaking to The Mirror on Sunday (May 18), Remember Monday shared: "WOW - what a ride! Three best mates walked onto the world’s biggest music stage and came out with a Top 10 Jury score, massive streaming numbers, and memories that will last a lifetime.

"Performing at Eurovision was one of the most surreal and emotional moments of our lives. The love we’ve felt from fans, our incredible team, and everyone who streamed, voted, and believed in us has been overwhelming.

‌

"This is just the beginning for Remember Monday. We’ve got new music coming your way, a UK & Ireland headline tour this year, a summer packed with festivals, and we’ll be hitting the stage at Wembley Stadium for the Summertime Ball… no big deal!

"We’re so grateful for the platform, the media support, and every single new fan who’s joined us on this wild journey. Eurovision? Completed it. Let’s go! Charlotte, Holly and Lauren x."

Way before they could even consider performing at Eurovision, members Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele first met while studying together at The Sixth Form College Farnborough.

In 2013 they were named Houston before deciding to change they name to Remember Monday in 2018.

Viewers may recall that the three-piece group first rose to fame when they appeared in the 2019 series of The Voice UK.

They were mentored by Jennifer Hudson while on the show and made it all the way to the quarter finals before they were eliminated. Since then, they've released two EPs and 12 singles.
