GB News halted its broadcast for a breaking news announcemnt as Home and Security editor Mark White brought a shocking update following the Los Angeles fire. On Saturday (June 7), Donald Trump authorised the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles after an immigration crackdown erupted into mass protests.
The first troops arrived on Sunday Morning (June 8), with around 300 being dispersed oer three locations in Greater Los Angeles. Footage has shown protestors throwing rocks at law enforcement vechiles and other trying to get in the way of a Marshals Service bus after more than a hundred arrests were made. On Monday (June 9), the news correspondent has shared his concerns with the latests developments from across the pond.

He told viewers: "Things have quietened down a bit but you'd imagine that would be the case as we get into the wee small hours in LA but clearly this is a very worrying situation.
"Because what you have are increasing protests that are obviously organised byyour professional activist groups who are turning up at immigration enforcement raids.
