Emmerdale viewers have been left heartbroken as Steph Milligan contemplates plastic surgery for a deeply distressing reason as she tries to come to terms with her family's dark past.

Emmerdale fans have been left devastated as character Steph Milligan, portrayed by Georgia Jay, is considering plastic surgery for one deeply upsetting reason. This life-changing decision comes after the shocking revelation that she is the product of sexual abuse, with her grandfather Anthony, played by Nicholas Day, being revealed as both her abuser and biological father.
Struggling to come to terms with this horrifying truth, Steph sees Anthony's reflection every time she looks at herself in the mirror. In the latest episode of Emmerdale aired on April 30, an upset Steph leaves home for a medical clinic, planning to have a nose job while misleading her parents about her location.

Despite answering some welfare questions at the clinic, Steph becomes uneasy and questions their relevance. Just as she is about to go under anaesthetic, her parents Ruby and Caleb arrive at the clinic, after figuring out their daughter's plans, Leicestershire Live reports.

In a tense scene, they attempt to convince Steph not to proceed with the surgery, leading the doctor to cancel the operation due to ethical issues.
Later, Ruby and Caleb contemplate counselling for Steph, who, in her desperation, arranges a brow lift procedure to be done as soon as possible.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: "#emmerdale if Steph has all this work done, does that mean she will come back with a new head, won't recognise her."
Another fan chimed in: "How funny would it be if you knew the way Steph is planning all these cosmetic surgeries; that the writers recast her #emmerdale."

Someone else said: "Aww, how harsh would that be, acting your way to being recast. Steph does have an identical twin sister in real life though... They seem to make Mandy look different (well from the actress) though so a handy prosthetic maybe. #Emmerdale."

In other Emmerdale news, fans believe they have worked out the true identity of Aidan Moore's father and are suspicious that he is tied to one very famous family in the village - The Dingles.

Aidan's name first came about last year after John Sugden's arrival at the Dales who claimed to be the long lost son of Jack Sugden.
The plot thickened when dog tags belonging to John were found with the name 'Aidan Moore' inscribed on them, with the soap star telling his sister Victoria that Aidan had been a former army comrade of his and had tragically perished in an explosion.
