KBS Responds To Petition For Inappropriate Wording Regarding NJZ (NewJeans)
KBS has released an official statement responding to the petition regarding the inappropriate thumbnail text about NJZ (NewJeans).
KBS recently apologized to NJZ (NewJeans) regarding an inappropriate thumbnail in one of their videos.
Last month, a petition on the KBS website titledâ We demand an end to malicious reporting and an official apologyâ was filed.

âDespite the official statement that the suspicion of problems between the families was false, we are disappointed that KBS included provocative phrases to induce views and spread false information.
KBS has misled the public by citing YouTubersâ personal opinions while omitting the context of foreign interviews.
When we asked for an apology and correction of the thumbnail, KBS changed the thumbnail without any apology.
They have continued to report on groups that include minors with malicious thumbnails to attract views without factual confirmation. We demand an official apology and that malicious reports regarding the members cease.â

Previously, KBS posted a video on the official YouTube channel regarding the dispute over the exclusive contract with NJZ. The videoâs thumbnail included the phrase, âShaking NJZ, Haerinâs Escape? Escaping is based on intelligence vs. an unfounded rumor, a close relationship.â
However, this garnered much criticism from fans for being overly inappropriate, and KBS then made the video private.
Below is the complete response from KBS.
âThank you for your interest in KBS News. The digital content in question deals with the dispute over the exclusive contract between HYBE and NJZ, and we tried to show both sides of the claims without bias.
However, the thumbnail text was criticized as inappropriate, and we have accepted it and made the video private.
We apologize to the viewers who felt uncomfortable by this matter and will be more mindful in the future of not only the digital content, but also the subtitles, titles, and other content overall.â
