Kate Middleton makes return to full Trooping The Colour role
The Princess of Wales was joined by King Charles and Queen Camilla as they watched the spectacular military parade at Horse Guards Parade

The Princess of Wales resumed her significant Trooping The Colour duties today, joining King Charles and Queen Camilla. As Colonel of the Irish Guards, she took her place on the dais with the King and Queen to observe the impressive military parade at Horse Guards Parade.
Last year, she watched the display from the Major General's office with her children, marking her return to duty after beginning her cancer treatment. Today, Kate arrived at Horse Guards Parade in an Ascot Landau carriage with her three children.
She looked stunning in a turquoise Catherine Walker coat dress, a hat by Juliette Botterill, her Irish Guards Regimental brooch, and a pair of earrings that once belonged to the late Queen before taking her seat on the parade ground.
At last year's Trooping The Colour, Kate made a triumphant return, making her first official public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis. She had a prominent position on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF flypast, standing side-by-side with the King.
This was two months before she announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment, and in January of this year, she revealed that she is now in remission, reports the Mirror.
The princess is progressively resuming her Royal engagements and has noticeably stepped up her official appearances. She recently joined the Royal Family in marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day, one of the key Royal events she's participated in for several months.

As someone who appreciates the arts and nature, she selected various nature-themed pieces for her visit, including a grand William Morris sample book, exquisite textile rolls, and an instrument, enjoying a private viewing of these items aligned with her interests.
Trooping The Colour, a majestic military spectacle featuring over 1,000 servicemen, includes members who also serve as active soldiers beyond their ceremonial roles. This year's event celebrated the King's Colour of the Number 7 Company, Coldstream Guards – the monarch's esteemed guards observing their 375th anniversary.
Today, the King called for a minute of silence to honour the memory of the 241 individuals who tragically died when a Boeing 787 Dreamliner en route to Gatwick Airport crashed on Thursday in Ahmedabad, India.
The head of state and senior royals wore black armbands during the ceremony at Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall, as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson stated that the King had requested changes to the Trooping The Colour programme to pay tribute to the lives lost, the grieving families, and the affected communities.
This is not the first time Trooping The Colour has been modified to show respect for a tragedy; in 2017, a minute's silence was observed to honour the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, a decision made by Queen Elizabeth II.
The King had earlier expressed his shock and sympathy in a written message following the Air India plane crash, stating he was "desperately shocked by the terrible events" and offering his "deepest possible sympathy". He was kept informed about the developing situation on Thursday, which later revealed a sole survivor, UK national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh.
