Instead, he snuck into the 2025 Met Gala alongside his girlfriend Ceretti, marking their most high profile appearance as a couple with very little pomp and circumstance.
Despite his long-memed romantic history of dating women under 25 years old, DiCaprio was first spotted with the supermodel in August 2023, two months after her 25th birthday that June. Of course, fans were still speculating about DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid around that time, so the relationship went a bit more under the radar.
Though it has not been two full years since the 50-year-old actor and 26-year-old model got together, sources have already had to squash engagement rumors. TheStewartofNYMarch 24, 2025: Ceretti seems to make her first public comments on the relationship in a cover interview with Vogue France. She describes Titanic as "an iconic film" before discussing what it feels like to be labeled the “girlfriend of” a “very, very famous actor,” as DiCaprio was described by the interviewer (his name was not specifically mentioned).
“As soon as you're in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become 'girlfriend of'—or 'boyfriend of,' for that matter,” she responds, per People. “And that can be extremely annoying. Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so's girlfriend who was so-and-so's ex. So it's not nice to think that you can't love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you.”
When the interviewer said they'd be a “jealous” partner while dating “one of the most desired people in the world,” Ceretti replied, “It's something you learn. If what you're experiencing is real, if you know you love each other, then there's no reason to be alarmed. Because love protects and gives confidence.”

September 24, 2023: Ceretti is spotted touring a museum in Italy with DiCaprio and his mom, Irmelin Indenbirken. “They’ve been spending quite a bit of time together over the past few months, and they’re enjoying getting to know one another on a deeper level,” a source tells Page Six around this time.
September 23, 2023: DiCaprio is seen leaving the Versace's Milan Fashion Week after-party, which was attended by Ceretti and Hadid. All three reportedly left separately.
August 22, 2023: DiCaprio and Ceretti are photographed grabbing an iced coffee in Santa Barbara.
August 9, 2023: DiCaprio is spotted kissing Ceretti in Ibiza, Spain. It's probably safe to say he and Hadid are not “together.” It's unclear when Ceretti and DiCaprio got together, though she later confirms they met in Milan in an interview with Vogue France.
July 4, 2023: A source tells Page Six that DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid are “fully together” after spending a weekend together in the Hamptons. This update comes after about 10 months of speculation about their relationship.
