Love Island's Anton Danyluk confirms he 'spent the night' with 2025 show beauty

Former Love Island star Anton Danyluk has opened up on his unexpected connection to newcomer Sophie Lee who is set to follow in his footsteps and enter the famous villa

A Love Island favourite has revealed that he spent the night with newcomer Sophie Lee after crossing paths on a night out.

Sophie, 29, is one of the fresh faces set to find love in the Spanish sun on Monday night but just days before she enters the Love Island villa Anton Danyluk has opened up on their unexpected connection.

The reality TV star, 30, who first made waves on the 2019 series, has dished the dirt on his encounter with the former fire breather last year, which led to them sharing a hotel room.

Taking to Instagram, Anton teased: "Let's just say we didn't get much sleep... Last October, I was on a night out and bumped into one of my mates who happened to be with Sophie Lee. I already knew of Sophie through one of my friends, Joss, but we'd never properly spoken - until that night. We clicked straight away."

Sophie has since become an activist after a fire-breathing mishap at the age of 22 left her with severe burns.

The accident occurred while she was performing in Chicago, when an air-conditioner blew the flames she was expelling back towards her.

Anton admitted he was 'captivated' by Sophie's heart breaking story. He went on to say: "We ended up back at her hotel room... but not how you think. We genuinely talked all night. I was captivated by her story."

He praised Sophie for her candidness about her experience as he said: “Sophie has been through something incredible. She developed a tumour on her face, which massively affected her confidence and left her feeling insecure.”

He added: "What she did next? She shared it, openly and raw. No filters, no ego, her message? Learn to love yourself - scars and all."

Alongside the post, the star wrote an emotional message on the reality of being an influencer and being able to be vulnerable with his followers just like Sophie.

He started off by saying: “Being an influencer these days is wild. Post a Starbucks cup, flex your abs in “candid” lighting. Slap on a quote about self-love that you don’t actually live by And boom — inspiration.”

Anton continued: “But here’s the thing… If all you’re doing is making yourself look good just to make others feel worse — what’s the point? I’ve never been interested in pretending. Not every day looks aesthetic."

He added: “Not every mirror selfie tells the full story. And not every transformation is about abs and angles. To me, influence means standing for something — even when it’s messy, even when it’s uncomfortable. Because real confidence starts when you stop performing and start showing up.”

Anton isn't the only Love Island Sophie has ties to as she previously dated Scottish star Ouzy See, 30, who graced the show's tenth series.

Ouzy previously told the Sun "We're in the early stages, I'm here supporting Sophie tonight as she's been nominated."

At the time, when quizzed about how their romance was blossoming, Ouzy added: "It's going really well," which led Sophie to add: "He's really kind, that's my favourite thing about him."
