Born in 2005, Matilda Ledger is the child of the late Heath Ledger and actress Michelle Williams. Heath and Michelle began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of ‘Brokeback Mountain.’ The couple lived together in Brooklyn from 2005 to 2007, until their breakup in September of that year. Heath would sadly pass away in January 2008, due to an accidental overdose.
In the wake of Heath’s death, Michelle took it upon herself to raise their daughter, and give her all the privacy and security Matilda needed. The girl grew up away from the cameras and the pressures of being the child of two famous actors, which allowed Matilda to blossom into her own person.
As Matilda continues to grow into a young woman, here’s a look at Heath and Michelle’s daughter.
