Neil Young Tells Trump To Stop Picking On Rockers And Clean Up The Mess He Made
"I am not scared of you," the Canadian American musician told Trump in a Monday night post on his personal website.
Neil Young thinks President Donald Trump should stop squabbling with musicians and start doing his “real job.”
In a pointed post on his personal website on Tuesday, the “Ohio” singer told the commander in chief he should focus on “saving America from the mess” he made instead of obsessing over people who have criticized him, like Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.

“What are you worryin’ about man?” Young’s message began.
“Bruce and thousands of musicians think you are ruining America. You worry about that instead of the dyin’ kids in Gaza.”
“That’s your problem. I am not scared of you,” Young’s message continued. “Neither are the rest of us.”
Springsteen stoked Trump’s wrath last week when the rocker called his administration “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous” during a concert in Manchester, England.

The criticism clearly got to the president, who turned to Truth Social to call the “Born in the U.S.A.” singer a “dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker” who “ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country.”
Young then called out Trump for gutting the Federal Emergency Management Agency and leaving Americans without relief after tornadoes ravaged the central U.S., before writing, “STOP THINKING ABOUT WHAT ROCKERS ARE SAYING. Think about saving America from the mess you made.”

Referring to another one of the president’s recent targets, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said, “Taylor Swift is right.”
“So is Bruce. You know how I feel,” added the longtime Trump critic. “You are more worried about yourself than AMERICA. Wake up Trump!!”

“Remember what the White House is? 86/47???” Young asked, appearing to reference former FBI director James Comey’s Instagram post that outraged the president and his supporters. “That’s what you think about?
“You are forgetting your real job,” continued Young, who was born in Canada and became a U.S. citizen in 2020. “You work for us. Wake up Republicans! This guy is out of control. We need a real president!”
