PWA King of the Metro Preview: Charli Evans Defends PWA Title, 30-Person Rumble, & More
A new king will be crowned next weekend as Pro-Wrestling Australia Black Label (PWA) hosts the 2025 King of the Metro event.

A new king will be crowned at Pro-Wrestling Australia Black Label.
Next Friday, 30 people will enter the PWA King of the Metro Rumble, with the winner earing a future title shot of their choosing. Last yearās rumble produced Charli Evans, the current PWA Heavyweight Champion, as the winner. This year 30 of Australiaās top stars yearn to do the same at the King of the Metro event.
So far, PWA has confirmed two placements confirmed for the King of the Metro ā The Tuckman at number one and Jack Bonza at the coveted number 30 spot.
āBeing number one in the PWA Rumble is like trying to get to the footy finals halfway through the season when you are currently at the bottom of the ladder,ā said The Tuckman in a press release. āItās possible, but you must be realistic, right? The only problem for everyone else is that Iāve got two hands, a heartbeat, Australiaās mullet and several hundred rowdy PWA fans so you cannot count The Tuckman out.ā
In addition to The Tuckman and Bonza, the 2025 King of the Metro Rumble will include the likes of Jessica Troy, Scott Green, Ben Braxton, Will Kiedis, Skater Boi Pidgey, Sam Osborne, and Billy Preston. More surprise entrants are expected as well.
Elsewhere at the PWA King of the Metro event, āThe Violence Artistā Charli Evans will defend her newly-won PWA Heavyweight Championship against Kai Drake. Evans defeated Troy in a Last Wrestler Standing match for the title back in April.
āFor ten years, the PWA Heavyweight Championship is the only thing I have desired,ā said Drake. āChevs is the demon who stands in my way. The Dragonheart is coming to burn Chevs Country to the ground and take its gold at the Metro.āĀ
The PWA Tag Team Championships will also be on the line, with Velocities (Paris De Silva and Jude London) challenging the defending titleholders, The Backslide Girlzās Shay Kassidy and Everett Connors. Meanwhile, Robbie Eagles will defend his Soul Of PWA Title against long-time rival Michael Spencer.Ā
PWA King of the Metro will emanate from The Metro Theatre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on June 27 at 7:15pm local time. Fans from all across the world can watch the action live on YouTube, beginning at 8pm local time.
