RHOA's Brit Eady Files $20M Lawsuit Against Bravo Over Photo Scandal
Eady is alleging the network fostered a hostile work environment following an incident involving explicit photos displayed by Kenya Moore.
Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer Brit Eady has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo, alleging defamation, emotional distress, sexual harassment, and fostering a hostile work environment. The 37-year-old reality star’s legal action stems from a controversial incident during the show’s 16th season involving explicit photos displayed by former castmate Kenya Moore, according to The Independent.
Eady filed the lawsuit Thursday in New York State Supreme Court, naming Bravo’s parent company, NBC, and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America as defendants. The legal action centers around events that occurred during a June 6, 2024, taping and the subsequent broadcast of the episode in April 2025.
The controversy unfolded during the season’s fifth episode, titled “About Last Night,” at Moore’s hair spa grand opening. After Eady attempted to make peace by offering flowers, Moore rejected her apology. She later displayed a poster board with explicit images she claimed were of Eady. The incident prompted other cast members to tell Moore she had gone “too far” before walking out.
In a surprising twist, Eady recently revealed through Instagram Stories that the explicit photos were not actually of her. “I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode five,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, The Independent reports. “That photo was not me.”
Eady explained that she never saw the photo during filming but was told about its presentation at the event. “I was made aware of the photo being presented at the event, and based on what I was told, assumed that it was a photo of me — which is why I reacted in the way that I did,” she clarified.
The revelation raises questions about the aftermath of the incident and Bravo’s investigation process. Everyone present at the event seemed to agree that the photo depicted Eady. Howvever, her recent statement suggests this assumption was incorrect.
Eady’s decision to skip the reunion filming became public recently, with the reality star stating the season’s events had “devastated” her. Her absence from the reunion adds another layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding the incident.
The lawsuit describes Moore’s actions as “defamatory, harassing, and damaging.” It alleges that the defendants “willfully, intentionally, recklessly, and/or with gross negligence” produced and aired the episode. According to the outlet, the filing claims the broadcast “falsely, yet unmistakably implied that the graphic sexual photograph presented by the cast member depicted Plaintiff.”
Eady’s legal team argues that, despite “repeated requests” to view the photograph before the episode aired, the “Defendants refused to do so,” according to The Independent. The lawsuit seeks immediate removal of the episode from all platforms under the defendants’ control and a public statement acknowledging the false nature of Moore’s claims.
Bravo suspended Moore indefinitely following the incident. The episode ends with a title card explaining the decision to cease filming with her. Reports suggest that Bravo offered Moore a one-on-one interview special with Andy Cohen, but she declined, according to TMZ.
