Sports Illustrated is ushering in a new era of athletic and fashion models with its 2025 Swimsuit Issue, which promises to celebrate the achievements and style of some of the most influential athletes in the world. The magazine revealed an exclusive preview of this year’s issue back in 2024, showcasing a lineup of trailblazers, including sprinter Gabby Thomas, gymnast Suni Lee, golfer Nelly Korda and skier Eileen Gu. Now the full list of 38 women has been unveiled ahead of the issue hitting stands on May 17, with the four cover stars including Salma Hayek Pinault, Olivia “Livvy” Dunne, Jordan Chiles and Lauren Chan.

Shot by various photographers in sun-drenched locales around the world — including Ben Horton capturing Jordan Chiles at The Boca Raton in Florida — the issue highlights the unique journeys of the featured women and their growing influence in the fashion world.

Here are some of the athletes, models and celebrities below.

One of the four 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover models, Salma Hayek Pinault has been an in-demand Hollywood actress for years now. Credits under her belt range from Robert Rodriguez action movies to the Frida Kahlo biopic “Frida,” which earned her an Oscar nomination, to the series “Black Mirror” to the “Puss in Boots” franchise. Among her philanthropic efforts, she and her husband François Henri-Pinault, chief executive officer of luxury group Kering, help combat domestic violence through their work at the Kering Foundation. Hayek Pinault is also the first global ambassador for Merz Aesthetics’ ultrasound treatment called Ultherapy Prime.

Olivia “Livvy” Dunne is another one of the four Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover models this year. A recent graduate of Louisiana State University, the artistic gymnast and influencer catapulted to fame making viral TikTok videos during the pandemic. She has profited off of her Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) since the NCAA allowed students to take NIL deals; Dunne and other student athletes’ experiences earning NIL contracts are chronicled in the Prime Video docuseries “The Money Game: LSU.” Among her many brand partnerships, Dunne has worked with Nautica; she returned to star in the label’s fall 2024 campaign last year.

Jordan Chiles

Chiles is a champion at the Winter Cup and Pan American Games, but her influence extends beyond gymnastics. As an advocate for mental health and body positivity, she uses her platform to inspire confidence and self-acceptance, making her a role model for athletes and fans alike.

Lauren Chan

In addition to being a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, she is passionate about plus-size inclusion, having founded her own plus-size fashion brand called Henning.
