Tom Felton will reprise the role of Draco Malfoy in the play 'Harry Potter And The Cursed Child' on Broadway
Tom Felton will play Draco Malfoy once again, as it has been announced that the actor will join the Broadway production of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child.
Felton played Malfoy, the scheming rival of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), in all eight of the film adaptations of the fantasy books. He has also made appearances on the show Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses and the HBO special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.
Debuting in London’s West End in 2018, Harry Potter And The Cursed Child sees Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermoine Grainger, and Malfoy as adult parents sending their own children to Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry. The story takes place 19 years after the events of the books, and has won nine Olivier Awards as well as five Tonys.
Felton will play Draco Malfoy in the production from November 11 for 19 weeks, finishing on March 22, 2026.

“Being a part of the Harry Potter films has been one of the greatest honours of my life,” Felton said in a statement reported by Variety. “Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I’ll also be the exact age Draco is in the play”.

He continued: “It’s surreal to be stepping back into his shoes – and of course his iconic platinum blond hair – and I am thrilled to be able to see his story through and to share it with the greatest fan community in the world. I look forward to joining this incredible company and being a part of the Broadway community”.
The news comes as HBO begins production on a TV adaptation of the books, starring John Lithgow as Professor Dumbledore and Nick Frost as Hagrid. In late May, the three key roles were announced, with Dominic McLaughlin set to play Harry, Arabella Stanton portraying Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout taking on the role of Ron Weasley.
