Watch: Taylor Swift Debuts New ‘Taylor’s Version’ Track in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’
Taylor Swift quietly revealed “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” in the latest episode of Hulu’s “The Handmaids Tale.”
Just months after the conclusion of her record-breaking Eras Tour, pop icon Taylor Swift has once again stirred her fans into a frenzy after releasing an all-new re-recorded version of her chart-topping hit “Look What You Made Me Do” from her “Reputation” album in the latest episode of Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
Swift’s Eras Tour, which saw the singer-songwriter perform a medley of tracks from the entirety of her 11-album discography, spanned an impressive 149 shows in 51 cities across five continents. The highest-grossing tour in history, Eras Tour audiences were similarly serenaded with tracks from Swift’s re-recorded albums.
Adjusted with the moniker “Taylor’s Version,” the 35-year-old artist has so far re-recorded four of her previously released albums: “Fearless” (2008), “Speak Now” (2010), “Red” (2012), and “1989” (2014). Swift previously revealed her plans to record new versions of her first six studio albums in order to regain control over the rights to tracks she recorded while signed with Big Machine Records. For the duration of her record deal, the label retained sole ownership of Swift’s original recordings, something that the artist has sought to change with her “Taylor’s Version” albums.
The re-recordings debuted with “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” in 2021, with “Red (Taylor’s Version) following later the same year. In 2023, Swift similarly released “Taylor’s Version” re-recordings of her albums “Red” and “1989,” both of which rocketed to the number one spot on music charts in the U.S., UK, and Australia upon their respective releases.
Swift’s “Reputation” album was similarly released by Big Machine Records in 2017. As her final album recorded with the label, fans have been anxiously awaiting the announcement for “Reputation (Taylor’s Version).”
The announcement now seems closer than ever after Swift debuted her latest track, “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version),” on the latest episode of Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Speaking on the inclusion of Swift’s music in the Emmy Award-winning series, “The Handmaid’s Tale” star and executive producer Elisabeth Moss told Billboard: “I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment.”
Moss continued: “Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Stranovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show.”
“The Handmaid’s Tale,” which debuted in 2017, will air its last-ever episode next Tuesday, May 27, on Hulu.
