Kid Cudi made headlines after he was called to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ sex trafficking trial.
Cudi stated that in 2011, he was romantically involved with Cassie Ventura, who was in a decade-long on-and-off relationship with Combs around that time.
The rapper, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, revealed that Cassie would share some things with him about the disgraced music mogul’s violent behavior, and that she seemed “scared” when Diddy found out about their relationship. Per USA Today, Cudi testified that he was in love with Cassie, but that they ended things because of the “drama” that was “getting out of hand” and he “just wanted to give it some space, for my safety and for her safety.”
Speaking about his past with Cassie, has fans wondering if he is in a relationship today. Well, Cudi is. In fact, he’s engaged. Here’s what we know about his fiancée, Lola Abecassis Sartore.
While it’s unclear when exactly Sartore and Kid Cudi started dating, we know it was sometime after August 2022, since that’s when he told Esquire he was single and looking for a girlfriend.
Then, in April 2024, he made his Instagram debut with Sartore and shared that they are engaged.
“My fiancée Lola and [I] at the Knuckles premiere,” he wrote alongside photos of them together. “This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me and I’m so excited to share this news w[ith] u all … Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect.”
Sartore also shared a photo of the pair laughing and smiling on her Instagram and captioned it: “I never thought I could love someone this much! So proud to call you my fiancé, Scott.”
She also reposted the pic on her Instagram Stories and wrote: “The smiles on our faces says it all! Love you to the moon and back.”

Sartore is a menswear designer. She graduated from Atelier Chardon Savard and began her career at Louis Vuitton.
She told Hube Magazine that the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh was her mentor. Sartore also worked alongside Pharrell Williams when she was with the company.
“We would work on five to six collections per season, 10 to 12 per year, all at the same time. It was definitely a brain workout,” she shared. “But for a young designer, this was also a big chance to learn a lot, fast. In many luxury houses, they separate the teams to work on separate collections. So you can end up designing the same product category in the same collection for years.”
Per her LinkedIn, Cudi’s fiancée left LVMH in 2024 and today is the head of design at ERL.
In March 2025, Cudi spoke with Hube Magazine about his new album and the writing process, and explained that his love for Sartore was his inspiration.
“It felt like one of the easiest albums I’ve ever done because I’m in this place in my life where I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and the emotions were real,” he said. “I had a lot of things to say, a lot of things in my heart.
“The album is damn-near dedicated to my fiancée, every song is like a love song with me kind of confessing my love, so it was very, very fulfilling. I feel like a lot of people are going to hear this record and really be blown away by just how different it feels, but also how it still feels like Cudi.”
