Yet another docu-series about Deion Sanders is currently in the works
Football fans know Deion Sanders as a celebrity, but a new Netflix series aims to showcase the man behind the glitz and glamour by touching on deeply personal subjects.

Deion Sanders has been in the limelight for the better part of four decades, but football fans are poised to get an unprecedented look at the man behind the celebrity in a new Netflix docu-series coming out next year.
âPrime Timeâ will take an in-depth look at one of the sports industryâs âmost electrifying and polarizing figures, exploring his evolution from a two-sport pro phenom to a culture-defining coach and media personality,â according to an announcement this week.
That journey includes Sanders opening up about deeply personal subjects, such as the relationship with his biological father and surviving an attempted suicide, the announcement says.
The premise distinguishes it from another series, called âCoach Prime,â which follows Sandersâ career at the helm of football programs at Jackson State University in Mississippi and the University of Colorado. Three seasons of that show are currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
âIt means so much to finally be able to tell my unfiltered story, my TRUTH. I was PRIME TIME, then I dropped the TIME and went by PRIME, and now Iâm in the third quarter of my life and they call me COACH PRIME. Yâall knew a part of me each step of the way, but you never knew DEION,â Sanders said in a statement. âIâm excited to share that with you all â the highs and lows, the truths and tragedies, and everything in between.â
âPrime Timeâ is currently in production and will air as three individual, 60-minute episodes sometime in 2026.
