Boy Meets World alum Ben Savage is about to become a dad!
The actor turned politician shared the exciting news that he and his wife, Tessa Angermeier, are expecting their first baby together via Instagram on Tuesday, May 20.
āArriving this fall,ā Savage, 44, captioned two snaps showing the proud parents-to-be holding up an ultrasound scan of their impending arrival.
Savageās former Boy Meets World costar Maitlin Ward, 48, was among the first to congratulate him in the comments. ā????ā¤ļø Congratulations both of you!ā she commented on Savageās post.

āWhaaat?? Congratulations!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø,ā added actress Danica McKellar, who appeared alongside Savageās brother, Fred Savage, on the sitcom The Wonder Years.
Savage and Angermeier married in February 2023 after several years of dating.
āCongratulations to Mr & Mrs Savage, we couldnāt be happier for you āguuuyyyssā ????????????āāļø????????āāļø????,ā an attendee captioned a carousel of photos of the happy couple, including a shot of Savage and Angermeier dressed in a tux and a white gown, respectively, with floral arrangements around them.
Last year, Savage lost his bid to run for Congress after campaigning as a Democrat in Californiaās 30th congressional district. He lost in a primary to fellow Democrat Laura Friedman.

Boy Meets World became a family sitcom phenomenon during its seven-season run on ABC from 1993 to 2000. Savage shot to fame as Cory Matthews on the hit ABC sitcom Boy Meets World, which aired between 1993 and 2000. He reprised the role on Disney Channelās short-lived spinoff, Girl Meets World, which aired from 2014 to 2017.
In 2022, Savage told Us Weekly that heād be down for another Boy Meets World reboot should one come to fruition.
āIāve learned enough to know that you literally never know what can happen in this business,ā he said. āEvery day is a rollercoaster, and itās always exciting. So, I say never say never.ā

Despite his willingness to reprise his role as Cory, the actor decided not to participate in the rewatch podcast āPod Meets World,ā which his former costars ā Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle ā launched in June 2022.

Fishel ā who played Savageās love interest Topanga on the coming-of-age sitcom ā told Us in July 2022 that the actor was initially part of the project.
āWe have been talking about this podcast since 2019, it was Riderās idea. When he brought it up, we talked about it all, the four of us,ā she recalled. āAt the end of our conversations, Ben said, āI just donāt think itās for me.ā And we get it. So, weāre respecting his decision. And if he eventually wants to come on, weāll leave that door open.ā
