The Trump administration deployed thousands of National Guard troops and mobilized hundreds of active-duty Marines to Los Angeles, California to control days-long protests sparked by ICE raids in the city, over the objections of the mayor and the governor. We spoke to several people about the situation, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom who said the mobilization was "illegal," and a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security who defended the decision. Plus, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy spoke to Morning Edition about why he voted for President Trump, how he disagrees with him and whether he could support Democrats, and Questlove joined us to talk at length about Ladies & Gentlemen... 50 Years of SNL Music.

ENA’s upcoming drama “Salon de Holmes” has unveiled a glimpse of a suspenseful moment from its first episode!
“Salon de Holmes” is a new comedy-action drama about four women—a sharp-witted sleuth, a former ace detective, an insurance queen, and a part-time job expert—who live in the same apartment complex. Together, they team up to take down the troublemakers plaguing their community.
Lee Si Young will star as Gong Mi Ri, the “Sherlock Holmes” of her apartment complex, while Jung Young Joo will play Chu Kyung Ja, a former detective nicknamed the “female Ma Dong Seok.” Dasom will play “field informant” Park So Hee, who has experience working all sorts of part-time jobs, and Nam Ki Ae will round out the squad as the impressively well-connected Jeon Ji Hyun, a neighborhood insider who knows all the latest gossip.
The newly released stills capture an unexpected “hostage situation” that unfolds at the neighborhood supermarket. When the enraged hostage taker (played by Kim Geum Soon) enters the market in a disheveled state and threatens people with a gun, chaos erupts.
As the terrified Chu Kyung Ja, Park So Hee, and Jeon Ji Hyun look on in fear, Gong Mi Ri surrenders to the hostage taker with her hands raised—then quickly assesses the situation with a keen eye.
It turns out that the hostage taker is the furious wife of the neighborhood supermarket manager, and she has barged into the market looking for the mistress that tore her family apart. Using her sharp intuition and brilliant sleuthing skills, Gong Mi Ri quickly manages to find the mistress and put an end to the dangerous hostage situation.
