Dermot O'Leary is hosting Soccer Aid for the 15th consecutive year.
The presenter has been gracing our screens for more than 20 years, most recognisably as the long-serving presenter of X-Factor from 2007 until its final series in 2018, apart from a hiatus in 2015. It was during his tenure that O'Leary witnessed the emergence of famous pop acts One Direction in 2010 and Little Mix the following year.

Beyond his tenure on X-Factor, he's engaged viewers on This Morning and is well-known for hosting his own show on BBC Radio Two on weekend mornings.

O'Learyâs involvement with UNICEFâs Soccer Aid has been a constant across his career, where he proudly serves as an ambassador for the charity, reports Wales Online.
Commenting on the event, OâLeary spoke of its significance, especially from the perspective of being a father: "Soccer Aid for UNICEF is an incredibly special event â and means a great deal to me personally as a UNICEF UK Ambassador, host and producer, but even more so as a parent.
"The game this year is on Father's Day, so it takes on even more significance. Buying a ticket for this year's star-studded match will help UNICEF give children everywhere a chance to grow up happy, healthy and with hope for the brightest future possible. I know it's going to be an absolutely fantastic night at Old Trafford."

An interesting titbit about Dermot OâLeary that might not be widely known is that he doesnât go by his complete birth name in the public eye.
The Colchester-born presenter, SeaÌn Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr, doesn't usually go by his full legal name in everyday life.

His name has Irish origins, with his parents having moved from Ireland to Essex in 1968, and O'Leary himself arriving five years later.
While he doesn't consider himself as being 'from Ireland', O'Leary maintains a connection to his heritage.

"I always describe myself as, I'm Irish but not from Ireland, if that makes sense...," O'Leary shared with RTE Radio One.
"I've had an Irish passport since I was a kid and I've never had a British passport. And I don't hold that as, like, a badge of honour or anything, it's just something that happened. They never forced that [Irish] identity down our throats, it just felt very natural for us."
O'Leary is wed to the esteemed TV and film producer Dee Koppang O'Leary.

Koppang hails from Oslo, Norway, but relocated to the UK in her youth after her parents split up. She studied at St Lawrence College in Ramsgate during the 1990s.
She has made her mark as a producer on high-profile projects including Netflix's acclaimed series The Crown and Bridgerton, and the BBC drama The Split.
O'Leary and Koppang's romance began in 2002, leading to their engagement in 2011 and marriage the following year at Chiddingstone Castle, with stars like James Corden, Chris O'Dowd, and Bear Grylls among the guests.

The couple share a son named Kasper, born in June 2020, and have made their home in Primrose Hill, North London, where they live with two rescue cats, Toto and Socks.
TV host O'Leary has been candid about his battle with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder that plagues the jaw joint and muscles, causing pain, restricted movement, and often clicking sounds. The affliction can radiate pain into the face, neck, or shoulders and severely hinder daily life.
In a discussion on This Morning in April, O'Leary detailed his severe "massively painful" TMJ complications that flared up whenever he ate.

"I woke up last half term in October, out of nowhere and every time I opened my mouth to eat something, I got a massive pain around here," he shared, indicating the area of discomfort.
"I ignored it for a bit because I'm a man and then finally got it... went to go and see an ear, nose and throat specialist, and he sent me to you (physiotherapist Krina Panchal)."
