SPOILER ALERT: Do not continue reading if you do NOT want to know whether or not Jordan made it into the top 8.
After voting closed during the final commercial break, host Ryan Seacrest was ready to reveal which members of season 23âs top 10 would advance to the top 8. So did Jordan make it through? Weâll have the answer here as soon as the results are announced! And hereâs a breakdown of tonightâs full results.
Jordan, who lives in Tulsa, was the first contestant of season 23 who received one of three coveted Platinum Tickets from the judges after her audition. During the premiere episode that aired on March 9, Jordanâs powerhouse vocals and spunky personality immediately won over judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood.
Jordan told the judges she works as a âpeople and culture generalistâ in human resources, but after performing âEpiphany (Iâm Leaving),â a 2009 Gospel song by Chrisette Michele, judge Luke Bryan joked she could kiss her HR job goodbye.
Before they awarded her a golden ticket to Hollywood, Richie told Jordan, âFirst of all, the instrument is just crazy great. And the second thing is, you sold us on your personality alone. Now you put those two together and you have a crowd thatâs pleased with your performance. But Iâm telling you, itâs amazing to have you here.â

Toward the end of her audition episode, ABC showed the moment when Jordan was surprised by the judges with a Platinum Ticket â officially establishing her as one of their favorite contestants and allowing her to skip the first round of competition in Hollywood.
Jordan, who traveled to Nashville in November for her audition, was told the show wanted her to perform during the Titansâ NFL game the next day. In clips from game day, she was told she would get to briefly sing for the packed stadium, unaware that the judges would be there, too.
She rocked her brief performance and then the judges surprised her with the Platinum Ticket, bringing her to tears on the field.
Interestingly, Kolbiâs season 23 audition was not her first. She told Billboard that she auditioned when she was a junior in high school.
âI made it through the initial audition when they come to your city,â she explained. âBut the second one, thatâs when I got a no and it crushed me. I stopped singing for a little bit. But I kept going. It wasnât the time. I didnât even know myself yet. When youâre 15, you think you know, but you donât. This season, I feel more myself. I feel like I know who Kolbi is, not only musically and vocally but also personally.â
The top 8 of season 23 will move on to compete again on May 5, competing to make it into the top 7.
