Doctor Who fans were thrilled this evening as a an iconic character returned to the BBC show.
Doctor Who has delighted viewers with its latest episode, as fans shared their elation just moments into tonight's episode.
The series welcomed back ex-Sex Education actor Ncuti Gatwa, reprising his role as the legendary Time Lord for the fourth episode titled 'Lucky Day', starting with a scene where he travels to London on New Year's Eve 2007.

In this episode, we see him gift a youngster named Conrad a 50p coin while proclaiming it to be his "lucky day", sparking a lifelong fascination with the Doctor for the boy.

Fast forward around a decade, and Conrad, portrayed by Jonah Hauer-King, is now a podcast host who spends his days interviewing individuals about their encounters with the Time Lord.
At one key moment, Conrad is set to reveal his latest interviewee, and as the camera reveals the guest, BBC enthusiasts are surprised to see that it's Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson.

Overwhelmed with nostalgia, one fan expressed on X, the successor to Twitter: "I've missed 15 and Ruby Sunday so much - iconic duo", while another shared: "I love Ruby Sunday".
A third added: "It's so nice to see ruby Sunday back again", with a fellow enthusiast echoing: "Ruby is back!"
Another chimed in with: "I've really missed Ruby."

Echoing these feelings, someone else posted: "I'm loving that they've brought Ruby back and actually given her a f*****g brain.
"I feel like she finally has actual thoughts and emotions and i'm so happy for Millie Gibson, because she's a brilliant actress."
Actress Gibson, while discussing her comeback to the legendary BBC sci-fi series with Doctor Who TV, expressed her emotions by saying: "It feels like returning home after a long day."
