Doctor Who viewers in a frenzy minutes into BBC show as fan-favourite returns
Doctor Who fans were thrilled as an iconic character made their return to the BBC sci-fi drama.
Doctor Who had viewers buzzing within moments of tonight's episode as a fan-favourite made a comeback.
Former Sex Education favourite Ncuti Gatwa reprised his role as the Time Lord in "Lucky Day", which starts with a nostalgic trip back to New Year's Eve 2007 in London.

Ncuti's Doctor encounters a young lad named Conrad and sets his fate with a simple 50p coin, dubbing it his "lucky day", spiralling Conrad into an obsession with the enigmatic Doctor.

Leap forward a decade and we see Conrad, played by the talented Jonah Hauer-King, has become a podcast aficionado, his show dedicated to encounters with the Doctor.
As he introduces his next guest, viewers are treated to the surprise return of Millie Gibson's Ruby Sunday, causing a stir among fans on the social platform formerly known as Twitter.
Article continues belowExcited tweets began to pour in, one fan exclaiming: "I've missed 15 and Ruby Sunday so much - iconic duo", while another voiced their fondness: "I love Ruby Sunday".
Another chimed in with praise, saying: "It's so nice to see ruby Sunday back again", and others quickly joined in: "Ruby is back" and "I've really missed Ruby" with another stating that they hadn't "realised how much" they missed her.
The enthusiasm didn't stop there. One particular fan was impressed with the character development: "I'm loving that they've brought Ruby back and actually given her a f*****g brain.

"I feel like she finally has actual thoughts and emotions and i'm so happy for Millie Gibson, because she's a brilliant actress."
Actress Gibson gushed to Doctor Who TV about her comeback to the beloved BBC sci-fi series, saying: "It feels like returning home after a long day."

She added, "It's so nice to be back playing Ruby Sunday in a whole new light. As Ruby grows up, so do I.
"In season two, you see more of a mature and stronger version of Ruby.
"She's recovering from her season one adventures, and you see her learn to deal with that a bit."
