Kylie Jenner's 2025 Met Gala hack became the big fail of her night
But while Kylie served on the steps of the Met, things got dicey behind the scenes when those same strappy stilettos turned on her
Kylie Jenner proved that fashion really hurts, especially when you tape yourself into designer stilettos and can't get out. The reality TV star and billionaire beauty mogul, 27, brought the heat to the 2025 Met Gala red carpet Monday night in a sleek, futuristic Ferragamo look that screamed high fashion.
Jenner rocked corseted elegance, in a stormy grey bralette, low-slung skirt with a sky-high slit, sheer opera gloves, and of course, killer black strappy heels. But while Kylie served on the steps of the Met, things got dicey behind the scenes when those same strappy stilettos turned on her.

In a hilarious yet relatable post-Gala moment that Kylie shared with her 400 million+ Instagram followers, the star revealed that she had become fully stuck in her heels. And the culprit was slightly sadistic style advice from Ferragamo's creative director, Maximilian Davis, who reportedly told her to tape her feet into the shoes to avoid any Cinderella-style slip-ups.

Well, the tape worked. A little too well. "Max told me to tape my feet into the shoes and now my feet are stuck in the shoes," Kylie confessed in an Instagram Story, voice high-pitched with pain. The video showed her team frantically spraying her feet with glue release. Kylie, meanwhile, could be heard screaming, "Owww!" as they tried to peel her loose like a very expensive human sticker.

Fortunately, the rescue mission was successful. Later, Kylie posted a triumphant photo of her now-free feet, freshly manicured and proud. "They're okay!!!!" she wrote.Â
Never has a foot reveal been so dramatic
While Kylie was trapped in footwear limbo, her boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet, was noticeably MIA from the night's festivities. Despite being a frequent fashion darling, Timmy seemed to opt out of the Met Gala madness this year, choosing serenity over sartorial stress.

While her heels caused high-stakes drama, Kylie's hair was an absolute masterpiece and a symbolic moment in itself. Following the passing of her longtime hairstylist and close friend Jesús Guerrero, Kylie made her Met Gala entrance with a new hairstylist: Irinel de León, a Dominican celebrity hairstylist based in L.A. known for her sleek finishes and A-list clientele.

Irinel delivered a timeless, high-fashion hair look. It featured a glossy, sculpted updo with a precise side part, smoothed to perfection. The style also featured a tight chignon at the nape of her neck, slicked and coiled with not a strand out of place. Elegant, powerful, and modern, it was a visual ode to reinvention and resilience, both personally and stylistically.

The blue carpet glam was perfectly aligned with this year's theme, pushing boundaries while honoring craftsmanship. And Irinel's work marked a beautiful new chapter in Kylie's beauty evolution.Â
