Man sustains serious injuries after assault on bridge in York
Two men have been arrested after an assault on Ouse Bridge in York today.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed that two arrests were made after the incident on Ouse Bridge
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at around 1.40am and the bridge was temporarily cordoned off to allow investigations to take place. It has now reopened.
"Two men and a woman suffered injuries in the incident. One of the men was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries."
A man in his 20s and a man in his 40s, both from the York area, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently in police custody, the force added.
"We have been carrying out enquiries and are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us to get in touch."
