Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on 4 June 2021 in California. Named in honour of her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, the princess takes her name from the Queenās childhood nickname.
As a toddler, Elizabeth had trouble pronouncing her own name and her grandfather, King George V, affectionately dubbed her āLilibetā in imitation, a name that stuck for life within the family.

Lilibet only became entitled to use the title of princess after her grandfather, King Charles III, ascended the throne.
