Olly Murs has said he is "deeply sorry" to fans
Olly Murs has cancelled a run of weekend shows after walking off stage in Glasgow last night. The star stopped his show at the Ovo arena last night after just 20 minutes due to struggling with his voice.
Murs was ready to wow the crowd with his chart-topping hits as part of his 2025 Arena Tour with special guests Blue when he made an announcement after just five tracks.

The pop star has now issued an update saying he will no longer be able to play his shows in Manchester and Birmingham this weekend. He was due to play Manchester's AO Arena tonight and Birmingham's bp Pulse Live on Saturday evening.

In an official statement, he wrote: "30 minutes into my set in Glasgow I lost my voice & unfortunately had to leave the stage midway through the show.
"This has never happened before and not something I take lightly. I’m sorry to all the fans who came out to the show last night and am forever grateful for your support.

"To everyone in Manchester and Birmingham I’m deeply sorry, but am unfortunately going to have to cancel my shows this weekend.
"I have contracted a respiratory infection and have been instructed to go on a strict 48 hour voice rest by the doctor to ensure no further damage to my vocal cords.
"I have been enjoying this tour so much, and am so sorry to let down my fans – but have to put my health first. I’m hoping to be fighting fit in a few days to finish this amazing 15 year celebratory tour with a bang."

No mention in the statement was given to his show at London's 02 on Sunday, May 25.
On Instagram the star shared a longer post he apologised to fans in Glasgow and said he was "panicking and worrying on what to do".
He added: "speaking in front of you last night and seeing people upset was hard to see but from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry but I had to put my health first."

Later in the update he also shared about how fans can get refunds. He said they will be refunded directly from their point of purchase and this will happen automatically over the next week.
"I love you guys and I think anyone who knows me knows how much I love being on stage and performing. I'm hurting big time."
On stage last night, he said: "This has never happened to me before but you can hear my voice is going. I want to give you the concert you deserve so I can't go on."

He then told the crowd: "I'm going to come back, but I need to go now."
Following this, the arena was left in silence, the lights went up and baffled fans left the arena.
