Pregnant Rihanna cradles baby bump as A$AP Rocky makes sweet statement

Rihanna confirmed she is pregnant with her third child at the 2025 Met Gala. The 37-year-old singer - who has sons RZA, two, and Riot, 21 months, with rapper A$AP Rocky - showed off her baby bump as she stepped out on the floral carpet.

Despite both attending the prestigious event, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky chose not to pose together, but he had a sweet response to the news that they're expecting their third child together. The Umbrella songstress had been the subject of pregnancy rumours in recent weeks, but she had remained tight-lipped about her exciting news. However, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rihanna's growing baby bump was the star of the show as the Grammy Award-winning artist tenderly cradled her stomach while posing for photographers.

Dressed in an all-black suit, the Te Amo singer looked stunning at the event, which was celebrating menswear for the first time in over 20 years, reports the Mirror.

Several reporters congratulated A$AP Rocky after it was revealed the couple are expecting their third child together, and he replied: "It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up."

He also said: "Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm glad everybody's happy for us because we're definitely happy."

Rihanna sported a daring look by legendary fashion designer Marc Jacobs, featuring a black floor-length skirt, a cropped black jacket and a grey bustier that perfectly accentuated her baby bump. She topped off her outfit with a large black hat, a red polka-dot scarf and a pair of black and white heels.

Meanwhile, A$AP, who co-hosted this year's gala, made a fashion statement in a bespoke black suit, a creation of his own design.

The Met Gala, known as fashion’s biggest night, is held on the first Monday in May and celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition at the New York museum. This year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, casts an eye back over 300 years of Black fashion, the concept of black dandyism and its lasting impact on contemporary style.

The Met Gala isn't the only grand stage Rihanna has taken advantage of to reveal her pregnancies to the world. The iconic songstress confirmed she was expecting for the second time at the Super Bowl in 2023 during her headline performance, marking her as the first person to perform at the halftime show with a baby on board.

However, the Fenty mogul later disclosed that flaunting her baby bump at the event wasn't part of the original plan. Chatting with Access Hollywood in December 2023, she shared: "Here's the thing. I did what I had to do, right? My jumper couldn't zip up," followed by a laugh.

She elaborated: "No one knew I was pregnant. I just told my stylist, 'Make sure it's stretchy.' So the undergarment was stretchy and this [jacket] was baggy, but you know, the zip. It just stopped right there! So it had to be what it had to be."
