Skai Jackson Claims Ex Deondre Burgin Demanded She Drink Bleach
Skai Jackson claimed her ex Deondre Burgin demanded she drink bleach while pregnant and described alleged abuse in a restraining order filing
Skai Jackson alleges that her ex-boyfriend, Deondre Burgin, ādemandedā she drink bleach while pregnant with their 4-month-old son, Kasai, and regularly abused her.
Jackson, 23, was granted a temporary restraining order by the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, May 19, reports The Los Angeles Times.
In her request, the former Disney Channel actress described disturbing incidents of alleged abuse, including claims that Burgin physically attacked her in June 2024 after becoming ājealousā that she had received a text message from another man.
āHe demanded that I drink bleach to kill our unborn child,ā Jackson wrote in the court filing, per the Los Angeles Times and E! News, both of which obtained the docs.

āHe then walked me to the car with a knife in his hand telling me to get in the driver seat and if I called out for help he would stab me in the stomach. He then called his friend ⦠telling him he was about to kill me,ā Jackson alleged. āHe then told me to drive to the doctor to get an abortion. When I tried to, he asked me was I crazy and why would I want to kill our child.ā
Jackson claimed she was subject to āweeklyā abuse by Burgin between May and October 2024, per E! News, and that her ex once threatened her with a gun.
The Jessie and Bunkād actress also described a more recent incident, which she said took place on Motherās Day earlier this month.
āHe grabbed me by the hair, slammed my head on the back seat window of my car and hit me in the face while holding my son,ā Jackson alleged. āDeondre caused me to have a bloody nose. I donāt feel safe with my son being around him due to his violent history. He also said āFā my child.ā

Many actors who have found award-winning success were originally connected to a Disney Channel role. Nicholas Braun appeared in the original movie Princess Protection Program in 2009 before snagging a role in HBOās Succession. Us Weekly could not reach Burgin for comment.
A hearing for a permanent restraining order will take place on June 9, reports the L.A. Times.
In August 2024, Us Weekly confirmed Jackson had been arrested for alleged domestic battery after a fight with her then-boyfriend at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. The actress informed officers at the time that she and her boyfriend were engaged and that she was pregnant.
The actress was released from police custody hours later on a $20,000 bond and the Los Angeles County District Attorneyās office declined to file charges. Both Jackson and her boyfriend denied getting into a physical altercation.

Jackson announced the birth of her son in late January via Instagram. āKasai ????????,ā the Disney alum wrote alongside a photo showing off her newbornās tiny feet clad in a green plaid onesie and matching socks.
