Soccer Aid 2025: Who is Richard Gadd playing for World XI?

Soccer Aid is back in Manchester for 2025 as two teams full of football legends and celebrities take to the pitch.
The annual charity match features an England and World XI team of stars who will take to the pitch at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium on Sunday night.

The match, which will be watched by millions at home on ITV1, is in aid of charity UNICEF, who support children to have happy and healthy childhoods.

Among those taking part in the game is Baby Reindeer star and creator Richard Gadd.
Gadd, a Scottish actor, writer and comedian, wrote and starred in Netflix's limited series Baby Reindeer, which was released in April 2024, about his own experiences of living with a stalker.

Gadd has spoken openly about his experiences with male sexual assault and his mental health struggles, which are both shown in Baby Reindeer, in which he plays a fictionalised version of himself.
He will be appearing at Old Trafford on Sunday alongside Tony Bellew, Nemanja Vidic, Gorka Marquez and Martin Compston.

Soccer Aid was created by music legend Robbie Williams in 2006 and since then has raised over £90m to aid UNICEF in helping support millions of children around the world to have healthy and happy childhoods.
The money raised from this year’s game could help UNICEF protect children from disease and malnutrition, support their mental health and respond in times of crisis.
This year's England XI features the likes of Jermain Defoe, Bear Grylls, Tom Grennan, Joe Hart, Gary Neville and Louis Tomlinson.

The live show will be hosted by UNICEF UK Ambassador Dermot O’Leary, who will be joined by Alex Scott with Sam Matterface and Jason Manford commenting.
Soccer Aid takes place on Sunday June 15 at Old Trafford with coverage on ITV1 from 6pm.
