Another Eurovision Song Contest has been and gone, with the UK again failing to claim the coveted glass microphone trophy, with act Remember Monday coming in 19th place. In total, the UK scored 88 points, all coming from the jury vote. The band scored 0 points from the public vote, meaning no country awarded them points, marking the second year in a row the UK has been snubbed by the public. Remember Monday, were the first girlband to represent the UK since 1999, and co-wrote their performance song 'What The Hell Just Happened' alongside Brit Award-nominated songwriters Billen Ted, Thomas Stengaard and Julie 'Kill J' Aagaard.

This year's winner was Austria's singer JJ, who soared to victory with his theatrical performance of Wasted Love, beating Israel's Yuval Raphael. He said of his win: "Thank you so much, Europe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart," JJ said as they lifted the trophy. Despite the UK's abysmal result, we were thankfully not last on the scoreboard, as we take a look at the seven countries that came just below us.
