Jennifer Lawrence & Robert Pattinson celebrate 'Die My Love' at Dior Beauty's Cannes party, joined by stars like Natalie Portman & Alex Lutz.
CANNES, France â Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson were living it up at the Dior Beauty party following the premiere of their film âDie My Love.â
The two costars headed to the Club Albane rooftop, which offered an expansive view over all the yachts parked in the Mediterranean, after receiving a six-minute standing ovation for their work in Lynne Ramsayâs latest film.
âItâs the first time Iâve seen it,â said Pattinson. âIt was very exciting. I loved it.â

He added that he has been enjoying the festival atmosphere. âItâs really, really good stuff. Itâs a really good energy.â Pattinson also posed for photos with Olympic gold medalist and captain of the French national rugby team Antoine Dupont.

Lawrence responded in her signature self-deprecating style. âI think it went well, but you never know,â she said of the filmâs reception.

On a personal note, Natalie Portman shared that sheâs currently in a comfort film phase. âI like comedy, mainly comedy, and romantic comedies also,â she said. Her current go-to films? Reese Witherspoonâs 1999 dark comedy âElection,â and the Robin Williams classic âMrs. Doubtfire,â the Oscar winner revealed.

This yearâs Cannes Film Festival master of ceremonies Laurent Lafitte, who is hosting both the official opening and closing events, hit the red carpet in a sharp tux. Heâs also appearing in three films in this yearâs selection.
âIâve met good people and itâs been a joy, thatâs it,â he said of the experience. âIn terms of elegance, Iâm master of ceremonies and have three films in the selection, which has made triple the great celebrations. Itâs a big year but itâs a good year.â
Lafitte emphasized the importance of Cannes in honoring all types of cinema, and diplomatically avoided naming a favorite genre. âI really like all cinema, and itâs not a fake answer. Iâm interested in all forms and donât have a predilection to a genre. I just really like cinema.â
Rising French star RaphaĂŤl Quenard made a memorable entrance, hamming it up confidently in his shades. When asked about the âsunglasses at nightâ look, the young CĂŠsar winner quipped: âBecause it hides [me] a bit â come see what the ingredients are,â he joked. âItâs fun.â

Pattinson made his grand entrance to the party just before the clock struck 1 a.m. â a completely normal start time by Cannes standards â which seemed appropriate as the festivities stretched into the early morning.
