Todd Chrisleyâs son Kyle is hoping for a family reconciliation following President Donald Trumpâs decision to pardon his dad and stepmom, Julie.
âIâm ecstatic. Truly. I just found out a little bit ago and I still just canât believe it,â Kyle, 33, told E! News in a Tuesday, May 27, statement.
Kyle, Toddâs son from his first marriage to ex-wife Teresa Terry, is hopeful that now that the couple are free, he will be able to reconnect with his family after previously admitting that he hadnât spoken to his dad in over a year.
âI know they canât wait to get home and just be with family, and Iâm going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible,â Kyle said.

Kyle also praised his sister, Savannah, 27, who has advocated for her parentsâ freedom from federal prison. In June 2022, Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. (The couple pleaded not guilty during their 2022 trial.)
âI know Savannah had been working at this for so long and she never gave up. So Iâm just grateful to her and to President Trump for making this happen for my dad and Julie,â he said.
Kyle detailed his estrangement from his father in an interview with InTouch in June 2024.
âI donât really know why, but he hasnât responded to my emails and he doesnât call,â he said. âI was actually going to attend the [appeal] hearing, but I was told my dad did not want me there. I believe someone even said they would have me âescorted outâ if I showed up.â

However, the following month, Savannah defended her dadâs decision to cut ties with his eldest son.
âMy dad has every reason not to speak to Kyle. Just because itâs your child doesnât mean that you have to accept abuse,â she said on her âUnlockedâ podcast, per People. âIt doesnât mean you have to accept manipulation and hate and all these things.â
âWhat I donât process well is having Kyle play the victim to life circumstances heâs created. What I donât do well with someone who has abused people his entire life now trying to play victim, trying to get people to feel bad for him,â Savannah continued. âYes, my father has not spoken to him and that is because now, we are all at a place where we donât have to be abused any further. We are allowed to create boundaries for ourselves.â

On Tuesday, Trump officially pardoned Todd and Julie nearly three years after they were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. The president delivered the news to Savannah via a phone call.
