Fernandes' agent issues 16-word statement amid interest in United star
Bruno Fernandes looked crestfallen after Man United's defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final in Bilbao.
Bruno Fernandes' agent said the midfielder "deserved more" after the Europa League final.
Manchester United lost 1-0 against Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the Europa League on Wednesday night, stumbling to defeat after a first-half goal from Brennan Johnson.
Each player in a red shirt underperformed at the Estadio de San Mames and Fernandes did not have his usual influence. The United captain looked crestfallen as he collected his runners-up medal, and he spoke honestly about his future to journalists in the mixed zone after the game.
Fernandes has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer. United sources recently insisted they had no plans to sell Fernandes, but a huge offer from Al-Hilal might be difficult to turn down.
"I have always been honest. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go," said Fernandes.
"I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days. In the day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way.

"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is, and football sometimes is like this."
Miguel Pinho is Fernandes' agent and delivered his verdict on social media, writing: "Sometimes life is just unfair, you deserved more, you are an exceptional professional. Stay strong Bruno."
Fernandes continued: "It’s very sad. We wanted to win more than anything in this final. It's a very sad day because we've done some very good things in this competition until today.
"But today was the day that mattered, the most important day of the competition. It was the day we could have been in the history of the Europa League, but it's not like that. And football is cruel, and it's been our turn to lose."
Fernandes will turn 31 in September and Al-Hilal might test United's stance on their captain after missing out on the signing of Mohamed Salah, who extended his Liverpool contract.
The Portugal international won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for a fourth time this season, joining David de Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only other players who have won it four times.
Fernandes' contract runs until the summer of 2027, with the option of another year.
