Heidi Klum is back at the Met Gala!
On Monday, May 5, the supermodel, 51, returned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in style, hitting the red carpet in a Vetements gown, adding extra glitz with diamond jewels.
Klum, who last attended the event in 2013, went classic in a strapless black dress that hugged her curves and draped elegantly towards the floor of the red carpet. The former America's Got Talent judge accessorized with a diamond pendant and added a Vetements temporary tattoo on the inside of her left arm.
For glam, Klum lined her eyes in black and wore her signature blonde hair in a simple blowout parted down the center.

Last fall, Vogue announced that Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour would be co-chairs for the 2025 Met Gala, alongside honorary chair LeBron James (who had to pull out of the event last-minute due to an injury).
8 Shocking Rules You Didn't Know Met Gala Guests Have to Follow
Held at the Met in New York City on the first Monday in May, the gala is a fundraiser for The Costume Institute and spotlights the museum's spring 2025 exhibition, âSuperfine: Tailoring Black Style," which doubles as the eventâs theme. The dress code for this year is âTailored for You,â a nod to the exhibitionâs focus on menswear and suiting.
Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton said that the exhibition, which is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Millerâs 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, explores âthe Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.â It âpresents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,â according to the museumâs Instagram.
Prior to her appearance at this yearâs event, Klum last attended a Met Gala in 2013. For the occasion, themed âPUNK: Chaos to Couture,â the model glowed in a strapless, silver Marchesa gown.

The metallic, floor-length dress featured a structured corset with a unique, scalloped neckline and embroidered flower-like pattern, plus a ruched, silky skirt. Klum teamed the gown with a simple, slicked-back updo and smoky eye.

Klum also attended fashion's biggest night in 2012, 2009 and 2003 â which marked her Met Gala debut.
In 2012, the supermodel arrived at the âSchiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversationsâ themed event in a high-neck, navy dress. She teamed the semi-sheer, lacy gown â which featured a thigh-high leg slit â with a chunky, statement necklace, and wore her hair in a simple, wavy style.
Three years earlier, when the eventâs theme was âThe Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion,â Klum wore another strapless gown, this time with a handkerchief hem skirt in various shades of blue. The model paired the dark, flowing gown with a simple updo and light, glowy glam.

And for her Met Gala debut â at the 2003, âGoddess: The Classical Modeâ-themed event â Klum wore perhaps her boldest look, rocking a long-sleeve black gown with gold and black sparkling details, plus a thigh-high slit.
The supermodel, who posed for photos alongside legendary designer Valentino on the red carpet, added further dimension to the dark, elegant look with a metallic and black eye look and slicked-back hairstyle.
