Kate Cassidy broke her social media silence after the fate of Liam Payne's £24million fortune was revealed. Former One Direction singer Liam tragically died last October at the age of 31, after a devastating fall from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

As the singer did not leave a will, Cheryl, who is the mother of Liam's eight year old son Bear, will manage his £24.3million estate. According to court documents filed on May 1, music lawyer Richard Bray was also named as an administrator. Liam left behind £28.6million, which after expenses and debts were paid, went down to £24.3million.

According to some of Liam's friends, the superstar made arrangements "some years ago" to ensure his money would go to his only child in the event of his death.

An insider previously told The Daily Mail: "Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much.

"He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially. It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that."

American model Kate, who dated Liam for two years, posted online following the news that it appears she will not inherit any of his fortune, reports RSVP.

Taking to Instagram, Kate shared a snap revealing her bag's contents – a Starbucks snack and hair extensions – with the caption: "What's in your purse? ? ? Mine: starbucks and @glamseamless."

Following his tragic passing, Cheryl paid a heartfelt tribute to Liam, describing his death as an "earth shattering event" that left her navigating her grief.

In her tribute, Cheryl reminded everyone that they had lost a person, not just a celebrity, saying: "Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again."

"What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future.

"I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces. Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last. Thank you, Cheryl", reports the Mirror.

Cheryl and Liam's son, Bear, was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on March 22, 2017. Though Cheryl and Liam split soon after Bear's first birthday, the pair continued co-parenting.
