Blackpink alum Lisa’s Met Gala 2025 look has caused online controversy, with some users believing they see Rosa Parks’ face stitched into the fabric.

How you like that…controversy Lisa is stirring with her Met Gala 2025 outfit?
When the Blackpink alum first stepped onto the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art May 5, her formfitting Louis Vuitton lace blazer and bodysuit—which she wore with tights only—dropped jaws for its well-aimed homage to the event’s “Tailored For You” dress code.
However, upon closer inspection, fans noticed Rosa Parks’ face seemingly embroidered into the bottom of Lisa’s bodysuit.
As one user wrote on X, “Just found out lisa had rosa parks embroidered into her UNDERWEAR.”
Added another, “Why does Lisa have Rosa Parks in her pants? One of the historic women who fought against racism.”
While one user tweeted, “why the hell lisa got rosa parks on her panties??? im so confused,” another added, “So Rosa Parks who literally risked her life for civil rights is now lingerie decor? And the defence [sic] is ‘Lisa might not know her yet’?? Sorry, but ignorance isn’t edgy and also, what do you mean by ‘Rosa Parks stans’? This isn’t a rap beef.”

E! News has reached out to Lisa’s team for comment but has not yet heard back.
The pieces worn by the 28-year-old, according to a release from the designer, were created for Lisa by Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams, who was also a co-chair of this year’s event alongside A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton and Colman Domingo.

“The jacket is crafted in black lace encrustation rendering an artwork by the artist HenryTaylor,” according to the brand, “overlaid with the Louis Vuitton Flower Monogram and hand-embellished with crystals. The body is crafted in tulle in the same motif.”
Regarding the faces on the clothing, the brand noted, “the lace replicates elements of an artwork” by Henry—born in 1958—which depicts “portraits of figures who have been a part of the artist’s life.” However, it did not specify who exactly was portrayed.

On how the look correlates to the Met Gala’s overarching theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the brand said, “The tailleur stages an exchange between the tailoring tradition at the heart of dandy dressing and the corseterie and delicate lacework native to haute couture.”
