Sabrina Carpenter's Met Gala After Party Look Consisted of Big Pants and an Even Bigger Coat
A total 180 from the singer's no-pants look for the Met Gala red carpet.
We all loved the carpet look, but can we also take a minute to talk about Sabrina Carpenter's Met Gala after party look? Because it might be perfect.
Met Gala attendees tend to be a little more lax with the dress code for the after hours events, which is fair enough, but not Ms. Short n' Sweet. If anything, Carpenter's after party 'fit was even more on theme than what she wore for the main event. The Met Gala 2025 dress code was Tailored for You, and the theme was âSuperfine: Tailoring Black Style,â in celebration of Black dandyism.
The Hapa Blonde
Carpenter's first look was a mulberry, pants-less take on a suit that was, indeed, tailored perfectly to her body. But for the after partyâwhich Carpenter attended arm-in-arm with Jenna Ortegaâher flashy, Louis Vuitton ensemble fully embraced the beauty of a well-tailored trouser. She wore the black pants with a crisp white shirt and black tie, embellished with a belt featuring an oversized LV logo buckle.
Of course, the true star of this look was the bright yellow, faux-fur jacket embellished with the Louis Vuitton logo pattern, which matched her bright yellow Louis Vuitton handbag.

Intriguingly, Ortega's after party look seemed to borrow a page from her friend's leotard-and-tuxedo jacket blue carpet moment. For the after, Ortega wore a double-breasted black tuxedo jacket slash bodysuit with exaggerated shoulder pads and embellished with both a broach and a pocket watch on a chain. She paired this with sheer tights, black pumps, and an understated clutch. Also like Carpenter, Ortega's tuxedo-leotard moment was perhaps more obviously on theme than the metal ruler gown she wore to the actual gala (which was still fabulous, by the way).
Either way, we give both Jenna Ortega and Sabrina Carpenter's Met Gala after party looks full marks.
