Kylie Jenner honored her late stylist, Jesus Guerrero, in the sweetest way ahead of the 2025 Met Gala.

Jenner — who is expected to attend fashion’s biggest night on Monday, May 5 — shared a photo of Guerrero helping her prepare for last year’s event via her Instagram Story on Monday.

In the snap, Jenner is photographed from behind in the custom strapless “rose water” gown by Oscar de la Renta she wore to the Met Gala last year. Guerrero can be seen slightly off-camera to her right, attending to her hair.

Guerrero’s death was confirmed on February 22, 2025, when his sister Gris Guerrero set up a GoFundMe page to cover the celebrity hairstylist’s funeral costs. The stylist, who also worked with Hollywood A-listers like Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez, was 34.

“Jesus was more than my friend — he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support. I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter,” Jenner, 27, wrote via Instagram and in the wake of her friend’s death.

She continued, “Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable and i don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. A true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will.”

Jenner also shared a photo of the two smiling together. “Your words, your laughter, your kindness, your beautiful spirit will live in my heart forever. I’ll cherish all our moments together. every laugh and hug. I wish I could hug you again,” she concluded. “I laid in your bed the way you used to lay in mine, talking for hours. I would give anything for one more deep talk. I’m going to miss you so much. more than any words can say. 222 my angel.”

Days after Guerrero’s death, People reported that the Kardashians star would be paying for Guerrero’s funeral expenses. “As upset as she feels, she knows it’s so much worse for his family,” a source told the outlet at the time. “She doesn’t want them to stress about money. She’s taking care of expenses, including those associated with his funeral.”

Both Jenner and Lopez attended Guerrero’s funeral on March 30. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Gris praised Jenner and Lopez for supporting Jesus’ family following his death.

“[Kylie] has told us anything we need. Jesus was family to her, and she was family to him,” Gris told Us on February 25. “She has kept an open line. Anything we need, any questions we have, she has been there for us. She wants his memory to be honored and wants to do as much as she can so he gets the farewell he deserves.”

Sister Kim Kardashian also mourned Guerrero’s loss in her own social media post in the wake of his death.

“Our glam fam means the world to us. We work together, vacation and celebrate our lives together!” Kardashian, 44, wrote via her Instagram Story on February 24. “Our great respect for the art of hair and [makeup] has led us to meeting some of the kindest souls and make some of our bestest friends. So when one of our glam family members passes away all of our souls are crushed.”

Kardashian continued, “My heart breaks for Kylie and everyone who loved Jesus the way we all did. I’m praying for his family, his loved ones and the whole beauty community who feels this deep loss of one of the most talented and kindest to ever do it!”
