The genre-bending musician, 29, put a unique spin on the theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" with a turquoise look.
He donned a cropped suit jacket and matching pants with a wavy design. Underneath, he wore a black collared tank with lines of turquoise beads draped across his torso. On top, he opted for a slanted, wide-brimmed black hat. He even sported turquoise grillz for an extra pop of color.

Vogue announced Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour would be co-chairs for this year's Met Gala last October, alongside LeBron James as honorary chair. The event, which is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is a fundraiser for The Costume Institute and spotlights the museum's spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which is the theme for the gala.
Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton shared that the exhibit, which is inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”
The exhibit “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism,” according to a post on the museum’s Instagram.
The Met Gala's dress code for this year is “Tailored for You,” a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting. The gala also has a star-studded host committee: Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, as well as Doechii, Regina King, Spike Lee, Angel Reese and Usher.

While he's been releasing music for over a decade, Shaboozey became well-known after collaborating with Beyoncé on her Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter. The musician is featured on "Spaghettii" with Linda Martell.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in February, Shaboozey shared the one piece of advice the 35-time Grammy winner, 43, gave him while working on the album.

Met Gala Invitees Who Show Up Off-Theme Shouldn't Be Allowed Inside — No Really, I Mean It
"When I was recording the songs on her album, [I was like], 'Oh man, I can't do these runs' or 'I am nowhere near the vocalist, performer or anything Beyoncé is.' And I kind of got in my head about that," he said.
He continued, "What they told me was, 'Hey, we brought you here for you to do you, for you to be yourself.'"
Beyoncé's No. 1 lesson, Shaboozey revealed, was: "Just be yourself."
"Just be confident in the fact that you are different, you are unique and that's what people are going to resonate with," he added.

The musician has had some notable fashion moments in recent memory. At the 2024 Country Music Awards, Shaboozey wowed in a mint green suit with black accents. The blazer and pants each included floral accents as well as black stitching on the hemlines, which all matched his black shirt and sunnies.
To perform a medley of his songs "Highway" and "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," he kept the green theme going with jeans and a fringed jacket in the hue.
