The BAFTA TV Awards have made a grand comeback this year, honouring the crème de la crème of television with a dazzling event in the heart of London. Television's finest have flocked to the Royal Festival Hall at Southbank Centre, hoping to clinch a prestigious win.

The past year has seen an array of programmes enrapture viewers. This year's award ceremony was dominated by Baby Reindeer, Mr Bates Vs the Post Office, Rivals and Slow Horses.

Netflix's hit series Baby Reindeer led the pack with a whopping eight nominations, closely followed by Mr Bates Vs the Post Office, Rivals and Slow Horses, each bagging six nominations.

Beyond the major contenders, several big names were also vying for multiple awards. DIY sensation Stacey Solomon garnered two nominations while ex-EastEnders star Danny Dyer received his inaugural BAFTA TV nomination.

David Tennant, Claudia Winkleman, Graham Norton, Ant and Dec, among others, were all in the running for awards. Prior to the show, they all graced the red carpet, showcasing their glamour, reports the Mirror.

Maura Higgins made her eagerly awaited return to the red carpet, marking her first appearance since her kiss scandal with McFly's Danny Jones. The married singer caused a stir when he was caught on camera kissing Maura at the BRIT Awards earlier this year.

In a bid to dodge an uncomfortable encounter, Danny, who emerged victorious in the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... and serves as a coach on The Voice, gave the ceremony a miss.

Maura Higgins dazzled with her return in a stunning baby blue ballgown, flaunting her single status proudly as she brought TikTok sensation Luke Hamnett as her plus-one.

But it wasn't just Maura taking centre stage – the night was peppered with moments to remember. Sophie Willan stole the show with an accidental slip on stage, breaking the no profanity policy by exclaiming, "It's been s*** hot" before a quick hand-to-mouth gesture and the audience erupting in laughter.

The 2025 awards ceremony was not short on glitz or unexpected turns; here are the victors of the year:
